The Nordic Track arrived yesterday and I wrestled it into the house and put it together. Then I tried it. I still knew how, though it’s been a really long time.
Today I moved it out of the spare room (there was no room for this behemoth) and into my studio or whatever that room is.The room is pretty much whatever I need it to be. The good thing about the Nordic Track is that it folds down. It’s still pretty big and quite heavy, but flatter. The new Airdyne will go in the spare bedroom.
Today I tried out the Nordic Track. I don’t have good enough balance right now to do arms and legs together, but I did legs; I skied. No problems at all. It is a hell of a workout and your pulse gets up there quickly. I will have to build up to a real workout, but did 15 minutes. At the moment, I’m seeing it as a complement to a dog walk.
Most of all, I liked it. 🙂
That should help to keep the joints moving!
Yeah. I’m really happy I can do it. It’s just enormous to me to be able to DO something right now since there are quite a few things I can’t do. Every little bit helps. 🙂
I’m glad you managed to get it put together and working! I’ve never had anywhere to put them where they wouldn’t make using the house impossible, although these days, I could get rid of the dining room table and set it up there. We never use the dining room anyway … well … hardly ever.
It does take a LOT of space, but when summer comes I’ll put it outside. And this year no one is coming to stay for the Crane Festival so I’m good. 🙂
Excellent! I imagine you will train your way into full usage fairly quickly. 15 minutes is tough–I recall that from when my dad had one of the originals, many long years ago.
Glad its there and working and providing a new option.
🙂 This thing was refurbished with love. It’s amazing. I had one back in the 80s and I kept it until I moved here in 2014. I see why it kind went away — it takes up a whole room. Back in CA I had it on my patio. I’m really happy I could do it.
A Nordic Track and an Airdyne–good for you, Martha. It gets so darn hot here in the summer; it would be great to have one of these.
I recommend the Airdyne. 🙂
Awesome news. Congratulations! woot woot
